2017 6 month 27 day 9:00 During the 16th National Safety Production Month, Hebei Donghai Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. hosted a safety‑production speech contest. Attending the event were Zhang Bingyu, Director of the County Safety Supervision Bureau; Xu Shaochuan, Team Leader; Wang Hongjun, Director of the County Government’s Safety Committee Office; Liu Jianming, Director of the Office of the Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park Management Committee; Niu Shulin, Executive Vice President of the company; Liu Zhi, Director of Human Resources; as well as representatives from various plants, department heads, and employees. The judging panel comprised Vice President Niu, Vice President Liu, Safety Department Head Zhen Wenlong, Environmental Department Head Zhang Guohui, Administrative and General Affairs Department Head Li Yanmin, and Deputy Director of the Enterprise Management Department Xu Zhiyuan. Prior to the competition, Director Zhang Bingyu of the Safety Supervision Bureau delivered an important address, emphasizing that “safety is the very foundation of an enterprise’s survival and the lifeblood of its development. Prioritizing safety is a crucial pathway for achieving strategic objectives. By organizing this kind of event, Donghai Special Steel is making a significant contribution—both to the company and to its employees, as well as to society at large. We hope the company will continue to uphold a people‑centered approach, place safety above all else, and strive for harmonious, win‑win outcomes between employees and the enterprise.”

This year’s National Work Safety Month theme is “Fully Implementing Enterprises’ Principal Responsibility for Work Safety,” with each branch factory… 12 The contestants, with their vivid and eloquent speeches brimming with passion, underscored the critical importance of workplace safety for both corporate growth and family well-being. The competition was thrilling and electrifying, met with sustained applause that left a lasting impression. Following heartfelt performances and fierce competition, Li Changfu from the Logistics Center took first place with his presentation, “Shouldering Safety Responsibilities, Co‑Creating Splendor for Special Steel.” Fang Guiqin from Ironmaking Plant No. 2, with “Safety Is the Source of Happiness,” and Xu Yang from Steelmaking Plant No. 2, with “Life Is Paramount; Safety Responsibility Is Sacred,” were awarded second prize. Third‑place honors went to Zuli Yan from the Oxygen Generation Plant, with “Safety Is Responsibility”; Li Lihua from Steelmaking Plant No. 1, with “Safety Responsibility Is Above All; Dedication Through Duty”; and Yao Cuiping from Ironmaking Plant No. 1, with “Keep Safety Ever in Mind; Responsibility Fuels Development.” The attending leaders presented certificates of merit to the winners, commending their outstanding performances.

Through this speech contest, the sense of safety responsibility and self‑protection among all employees was further strengthened, fostering a company‑wide culture of “everyone prioritizing safety, everyone taking charge of safety,” thereby achieving the event’s intended objectives.
