Wang Liqun of the China Iron and Steel Association stated that China’s total steel exports in 2015 could exceed 100 million tons. Overseas markets are offering a lifeline to steel producers. In the first eight months of 2015, exports reached 71.87 million tons, up 26.5% year on year. Last year, total exports amounted to 93.8 million tons, a 50.5% increase compared with 2013.
